If the riding in Marin county is characterized by loose and rocky terrain, off camber turns, switchbacks, and slow technical sections, then perhaps the riding in Hood River is its antithesis. Loamy soil, deep bermed grooves to hold you on the trail, faster than fast sections with pumping undulations. Maybe I've needed something new, but I could get used to this...
The best thing is MotionBased now has activities playing directly in Google Maps. This is especially helpful when exploring a new area with maps but want to cross reference your actual ride with the map to see what you did exactly. So this is what the new Activity Page looks like:

Now you're in Google maps with your activity making it infinitely simple to find your way around a new area! Check it out for yourself and you will find some really useful tools are now available on Motionbased (getting better everyday, great work MB!).
So back to the ride, here are some pictures of the soil, textures, and Motion of Post Canyon right out the door in Hood River. Can't wait to show you all around!
